UMTV Becomes UVTV

SYRACUSE, NY - August 15, 2005 - For over three years now, music fans have been able to turn to UMTV, Underground Music Television, for the latest exclusive live performances & music videos from local and national artists. Starting August 15th, that will no longer be the case.

Is UMTV leaving its fans high and dry? Not at all.

In an effort to differentiate itself from other music video sources UMTV will be changing its name to UVTV - Underground Video Television.

The website, where thousands of visitors daily download live performances &music videos from the show, will now be found at http://www.uvtv.info.

"I decided on this change to better position the show as unique music entertainment for consideration by local TV stations and cable channels in the future" says Rich Stahle, founder & executive producer of UVTV. Rich goes on to say "I have also updated the website to include more material than ever before. In an effort to reach a wider internet audience quicktime files have been added and the security system that prevented some visitors from being able to view videos has been changed to fix the problem."

UVTV is currently seen on public access stations across New York State including the cities of Syracuse, Utica, Rome, Binghamton, Rochester, Elmira, Ithaca, Herkimer, Finger Lakes and Manhattan. The show is also on in Chapel Hill NC and has plans to continue expanding to Local TV channels in and out of New York state, and cable in the future. UVTV features exclusive live performances & music videos of local, unsigned, underground, indie & signed artists.
